Our Mission

The Rehabilitation Foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life and maximizing the independence of people with disabilities by providing financial support to meet those needs where appropriate.

How the money is used

The Rehabilitation Foundation assists The ReHabilitation Center by purchasing adaptive equipment and supplies when no other funding is available and by providing the means to be there for our people when there is nowhere else to turn. The Foundation is also the bridge that spans our funding gaps. This has allowed us to keep open programs that lack adequate funding and to help more of the people we serve.

Here are some quotes from people who have benefited from the Foundation:

“It has been three months since we received our elliptical exercise machine, and our folks are still loving it. Those who use it regularly have lost pounds and inches and have had to buy new, smaller size clothing! It is very user friendly and 90% of our folks use it at least once a week.

On the behalf of Prospect Avenue, I would like to thank the Foundation for the money which allowed us to purchase this piece of equipment. We stress healthy diet and regular exercise to our folks, and the elliptical is a fun way for them to exercise - even voluntarily! Thanks again.”

“We can’t even begin to put into words how much we appreciate your kindness towards us. May God bless you all.”

“On behalf of SubCon staff and the people we serve, I wanted to formally thank you for your generous monetary assistance to us. We have purchased two new wheelchairs and five side chairs for our people. Our thanks.”
